Great show, great recording
This was an excellent show. Interesting setlist (is this the first/only I Shot the Sheriff?; no Sugaree - hallelujah for that! LOL) and the packed crowd was really raucous on a Monday night (Jackie comments on this several times). Hysterical Gone Wanderin' with the audience totally confused during the sing along (Mile High strikes again). The recording quality is A/A- with just the right amount of crowd to house sound ratio. One small correction: The show ends with Like a Ball & Chain. The encore is 4 songs: Mexican Girl with the full band, then Jackie doing the only 3 encores solo acoustic.
Notes
Notes: Total Time = 149:47
Notes: 10:45 PM - 1:15 AM
Notes: MD5's and SBE checked and verified.
Notes: There were 2 short sets of one man acoustic music before Jackie Greene.
Notes: Jackie Greene played 2 sets. First set was about 40+ minutes and second set was way over a 1+ hours.
Notes: Jackie Greene put on a strong show and had the same band I had seen him last year in denver and at Chatuaqua with Ratdog.
Notes: He played some new songs, his classics, a few GD songs and for the encore played solo acoustic guitar and sung a few songs to end the show.
Notes: I recorded on the rail, 7 left to the left of center. Used DPA 4022 mics with a Littlebox preamp.
Notes: The sound at the venue was good and loud. The sound of the recording is good to very good.
Notes: There is some crowd noise mostly in the backgroud, except for the 2 women who would let out the primal screams.
Notes: Thanks to USblues (scott) and teena for the blocking and fun times and just hanging out.
Notes: Took photos and put them in a directory called "pics". Deleted pictures of the tapers and friends due to not asking permission to use their photos.
Notes: Good Times and great night!
Notes: Performance: A+ Sound Quality: B+/A-
